ATLANTA (September 23, 2019) – su·ko·shi : A little. The precision of an authentic sushi experience combined with a cheeky, on-the-go atmosphere defines Sukoshi, the now open destination celebrating little bites for big appetites in Midtown’s Colony Square. From The Indigo Road team (O-Ku, Colletta, Donetto, Tiny Lou’s, Oak Steakhouse)the restaurant elevates what we all know as fast-casual to fine-casual – fusing good, fresh ingredients and vibrant Japanese cuisine with a quick, grab-and-go experience. 

The Atlanta location is the second store for the sushi on-the-go spot – following its original Uptown Charlotte location, opened in December 2018. Providing quick day-and-night access to fresh, dynamic dishes, Sukoshi unveils a new way to enjoy sushi, in both counter-service and to-go formats. Although the two locations are identical in concept, menu items and programming will range between cities. 

Menu highlights include both spin-offs from the O-Ku menu and signature Sukoshi items, including sashimi, nigiri, specialty rolls, little bites (think: rock shrimp, “yum yum dim sum” dumplings + crispy lil bunz) and big bites  featured items with the choice of a rice, greens, mega maki (sushirrito) or king sando (sandwich) base. Favorite selections range from the ha-ha machi roll (yellowtail, serrano pepper, tempura shrimp, mango, micro cilantro, ponzu), red dragon roll (tempura shrimp, spicy tuna, cucumber, sweet soy, sriracha aioli) and the tuna “wrap it up” roll (tuna, spicy tuna, cucumber, sweet soy, sriracha aioli), to the sake to me (Scottish salmon, truffle chive, avocado cream, tobiko, wonton crunch, ponzu, cucumber, volcano salt) and rainbowl (salmon, tuna, yellowtail, ponzu, pear, edamame, mango, cucumber, sesame seeds) available in mega maki, rice or greens form. There are plenty of non-seafood options, too, such as the royal sir-loin with thin-sliced steak and Midtown chicken with yuzu teriyaki (both available as king sando, rice bowl or greens) along with salads, a veggie roll and more.  

For those in a larger rush, the grab-and-go cooler is stocked with pre-made menu items, alongside cold sake, canned wine, local brews and traditional, non-alcoholic Japanese favorites, Ramune and Calipico. Alcoholic options extend behind the bar, too – with a frozen version of the O-Ku favorite Sugar N Spice (habanero vodka + passion fruit) and yuzu lemonade, which is non-alcoholic but can be made with vodka added.  

And – don’t skip out on dessert – with High Road Craft miso caramel soft serve with topping options of Cinnamon Toast Crunch, sprinkles and sesame seeds. 

While Sukoshi caters to life on-the-go, the restaurant seats 55 inside and 52 outside, alongside a 30 minute, $30 Sukoshi-style omakase, coming soon: a five-seat sushi bar serving host to “lunchbox omakase,” six chef-selected tasting courses all served together on a sushi board, creating a surprise-and-delight dining experience done in 30 minutes.  

The Sukoshi mobile app gives the opportunity to order from the full menu for quick pickup, earn rewards and capitalize on periodic promo codes – available on both Apple iOS and Google Play. In the heart of Midtown’s bustling business district, Sukoshi will also offer catering, made for large groups, meetings, conferences and more. The 2,000 square-foot space is designed by Powell Architects and accentuates the counter-service element while also offering ample seating  communal tables and banquettes inside, four-top tables outside. White subway tile and blonde wood are complemented by pops of Sukoshi’s signature purple and pink shades and social-media friendly wall graphics.
